Through September: Compass Point presents Undocumented: Latino Immigrant Portraits by Rebeca Garcia-Gonzalez through October 17. Compass Point is at 731 Market Street (2nd floor), San Francisco. García-González is showing her oil portraits of undocumented immigrants at Compass Point, a non-profit organization located in downtown San Francisco. Recently there has been increased attention on raids by the INS raids and implementation of San Francisco’s sanctuary law. US-born García-González did not conceive this exhibit as a forum, but as a space where viewers begin to examine their assumptions about undocumented immigrants. More info at www.garcia-gonzalez.com or by calling (510) 698-4605.
